Soon Love Charms, the first In Gowan Ring album, will reach its 33⅓-year anniversary and will achieve its first-ever vinyl edition.

This crowdfunding also looks forward. Alongside the Love Charms vinyl edition, I am making a first small production of the Changeling II instrument and completing the Hex Hut, my latest transposable geometrical dwelling which will be the new heart of the Lune Musick Laboratorium.

Currently, this trinity of endeavors converges: the reissue of my debut album, an instrument for use in the upcoming fall tour, and the construction of a temple for future transmutations.

• Love Charms

Love Charms was the first album released as In Gowan Ring, and this year it reaches a peculiar old age of 33⅓ years. In celebration, with the assistance of Infinite Fog Productions, I am preparing its first-ever vinyl edition, in both black and colored vinyl

The record comes from the beginning of a musical path that has continued for more than three decades, through recordings, performances, travels, a multitude of handmade instruments, and many changes of landscape.

• Changeling II

The original Changeling was a simple musical keyboard I could use for the sounds I wanted to use for concerts. This year I have been developing Version II that will have a dramatic expansion of uses. It is an electronic musical instrument peculiar in many ways among currently available non-screen/computer-based hardware devices and, again, intended for my particular uses in studio and performance.

For this campaign I am making a first small edition of Changeling II instruments. These will be individually assembled and tested here at the Laboratorium, and will inevitably each be unique with woodgrain anomalies.

• The Hex Hut & Lune Musick Laboratorium

For the past six years I have been living and working in the woods, building a small collection of self-designed transposable geometrical dwellings, largely from scavenged and repurposed materials. Among them is the Witches Hat, which presently serves as my music studio and the Pent Shack, my first insulated habitation chamber.

The newest is the Hex Hut, a six-sided structure which has gradually become my architectural magnum opus. When completed, it will become the new heart of the Lune Musick Laboratorium—a place for organizing projects, recording, art works and exploring new experiments.

Part of the proceeds from this campaign will help me finish the Hex Hut and establish this next stage of the Laboratorium.

Ways to Take Part

There are a number of ways to take part, beginning with the Daisy Sunwheel medallion and digital music, through CD and vinyl editions of Love Charms. I am also making personal renditions of songs from my catalog, individually recorded and presented on CD, as well as an edition of 23 Daisy Sunwheel Art Box CD Editions.

In addition I am offering a limited first small run of Changeling II instruments, and an invitation to spend a weekend at the Lune Musick Laboratorium for a creative retreat, studio work, private concert, or other possibilities.

Every contribution, including those made without choosing a reward, helps bring these three parts of the project into being.
